I am not doing this to sneak around and stab people. I am not trying to fight with the knife, nor am I working to make it easy for people to break the law.
I am trying to make a hidden knife because I really enjoy the look of a hidden sword. The stigma associated with it and a challenge.
I have been into this type of project for so very long that I have actually let it fall to the wayside. I had a renewed interest since the recent posts on youtube about building an Assassins Creed hidden knife out of drawer slides.
My intention is a better looking and slightly longer blade than those being showcased in those videos.
I have an old sword blade that is going be used. I will take pictures as I go along. The blade is the cheapest metal and would not hold an edge good enough to cut butter but it is ornate, nice looking, and thin. With a thin blade I should be able to to keep the overall width small.
So I need to get the stuff to start getting this together. I have an idea of the locking methods. I will draw them out. Until then, here is a video that shows a cheap version of what I want to make.
